Garza-Cherry tree Focus

Wells_initial concept: Zoom

Zoom
_____

Wanted to highlight the importance of the smaller things in life.

I was thinking of using one of my friend Laura's work, her process and finished work.
She makes small figurines that have lots and lots of detail.

Thinking the cover could be the a magnifying glass on top of the title, "zoom."

Zoom would pertain because it showcases her style of work but on a general double edge shows her perspective.

BIO_MECH

I am basing my exhibition on bio-mechanical figures like H.R. Giger. I am still working on a title. Here are some of my works and others.

Walker P2 Initial Concept

My concept is dealing with the swift change of the telephone, from its invention until modern day.

Telephones have not only served humans a specific function, but as they have changed, left behind interesting looking artifacts. These artifacts then become sculpture in a way and change our perception what they are.

Householder: P2 Initial Concept

I'd like to use images from the Bower Bird shop for my exhibition. This is the tentative plan, since I haven't had a chance to ask Katinka (the owner) for her permission yet. The shop isn't open Monday through Tuesday and her Etsy store mostly has pictures of her handmade/vintage jewelry, so that will have to do for now. In the actual book I would include a range of other objects from the store.

"Bower Bird" is already a fitting title. Katinka describes her wares as "antiques, curiosities, and frippery,"and I think "frippery" is a super fun/unique word which seems perfect for the overall aesthetic of her collection, so that might make a nice title as well.

I was thinking of doing modern art posters for indie rock bands that go unnoticed. I was either thinking of picking a certain artist (Daniel Danger, Diana Sudyka, Travis Bone, Luke Drozd, Michael Michael Motorcye, Mike King) who does a style of poster or doing all of them and mixing them together. Some names and titles I was thinking of are simply just the artist name with a simple subheading or something more plain such as
The Lost Ones: Gig Posters
Behind the Posters: The Gig Artist
The Paper on the Wall: Artist behind the poster
Book The Gig: Artist that sell the show

Kind of having a hard time with the name with all the artist.
Anyways here are some of the artists work
Daniel Danger
This is Diana Sudyka

Travis Bone
Luke Drozd
Michael Michael Motorcycle
Mike King

For my book, I plan on working on a continuation of my Horse-manning series. It's a series that recreates a 1920s photo fad called horse-manning. It was inspired by the Headless Horsemen from the book Sleepy hollow.  Here is an example of photos I will be using in my book.

In the book I want to include actual cyanotype prints. Examples of cyanotype prints can be found Here
and examples of my cyanotypes can be found here.

The title of my book would be simply called called "Horse-manning"

Ciceri: Initial Concept

My idea for an exhibition is using the concept art from 3D animated movies. Why? Because I think it's crazy awesome to see the original 2D drawings of what would later be animated in a 3D style.

Titles (these are hard to come up with; I'm open to suggestions):

"Behind the Scenes: The Beginnings of an Animated Movie" or "Behind the Scenes: Concept Art from Animated Movies"
"The Art from the Start"

I don't know, titling things has always been difficult for me.

Images:

I have a lot of these but they're all really cool so y'all should look at them!
