Hruzek: Title Ideas
I originally was thinking of using my friend's photography of abandoned places but I think I am going to switch, I'm not sure to what yet though. These are the thumbnails I had for my old idea though.
Well, if you do keep this idea, I like top left thumbnail on the second page. I think it stands out from the others, because it's showing the progression of decay/falling apart, with the type progressively falling in on itself. Plus the irony of the word permanence portrayed this way thought provoking.
I think abandoned places could be a really interesting exhibit. The Settled thumbnail is interesting, Unsettled also could work. I'd try to tie the title more to the abandoned buildings, right now it would be hard to tell what the exhibit is about.
I think you should stick with this idea if possible, it sounded really intriguing when you presented it, and you seemed really into it! I really like "Impermanent Foundation" as a title, and the type has really successful imagery on that thumbnail.

ReplyDeleteI think your more successful ones are the actual destruction of the words "Permanence" & "Concrete" thumbs 5 & 8.
