Lang: Creative Brief and Mood Boards

This exhibition is about fashion in art with a social commentary. It will be shown in the Paris Gallery: Galerie Chantal Crousel, since Paris is the fashion capitol of the world. My audience is upper-class women. The response to this exhibition is meant to make people think about expression of social commentary through a medium we can all relate to, clothes.

Mood Board 1 uses a neutral serious color pallet to go with the serious issues it deals with as well as go with the high glamour of the fashion industry. The title type treatment is represented with letters with a loose weave like fabric and used the thick and thin like lettering often seen in fashion magazines.

Mood Board 2 is similar to the first one except takes it up a notch with stark black and white photography with accents of red to make it feel more dire and PSA like.

Mood Board 3 uses more playful examples of art that still deal with social issues, but are portrayed through a hyperbole of cosmopolitan magazines for a satirical look at fashion. Bright youthful colors add to this effect.
