Ramos: Creative Brief and Mood Board

Fashion is full of glamour, gloss, and drama. Opening up a Vogue or W, the glossy pages hypnotize, and have your fingers running through the pages wanting more. Fashion Advertising sells Glamour and beautiful stories that most people can’t find in their daily lives.  This exhibiton will show the world of fashion advertising, and the creation of the mesmerizing illusions created in 20th Century.

Potential Titles:

GLOSSY

ILLUSIONS

MIRAGE

ILLUSIONISTS
The book focuses on the creation of the “illusions” by fashion advertising.

Typography choices:

The most obvious type choice would be to use a modern serif that reflects the type used in fashion magazines today.

Ex. Didot, Sabon

Modern standard typefaces like Universe would be another good option for type manipulation.

I’m thinking of either building another image with type or insetting images in that type to create an “illusion”.

Color palette options:

I need a color palette that will help showcase the exhibiton work, not over power it. So I’m thinking:

Muted neutrals with one pop color accent

Black and white with one color accent
